Follow the Star – A Journey Through the Christmas Story

Each December our parish gathers for a very special evening, Follow the Star, a candle-lit journey that brings the Nativity story to life around the church and village.

Families, friends, and neighbours walk together from scene to scene — meeting shepherds, wise men, angels, and, at last, the Holy Family beneath the star. Children take part with lanterns and costumes, while carols, readings, and gentle music fill the night air.

It is a time of light, laughter, and quiet wonder: a reminder that the Christmas story still leads us towards hope, joy, and peace. Afterwards, everyone is welcome to share mince pies and warm drinks in the parish hall, where the conversation and singing continue long into the evening.
