Protestant Aid Christmas Appeal

Christmas in Ireland is often portrayed through the lens of abundance and happiness. But, for many it is a painful reminder of what they don’t have. In Protestant Aid poverty and despair are seen throughout the year, but that is

worse at Christmas. Television adverts don’t show struggling families. Where others celebrate, many choose between food and fuel. Protestant Aid gets appeals for help with basic living. All are treated with

dignity. Each year €600.000 is given in grants due to the generosity of supporters like you. Your kindness transforms despair into relief, anxiety into hope. It takes great courage to ask for help. Many, who have worked hard all their lives suddenly meet a crisis in their lives. Maybe they become sick and are unable to work or they become homeless through no fault of their own. Care and Compassion is Protestant Aid’s tag line. It is the grant team’s calling to help: a real expression of Christmas. God entered our world not in comfort but in vulnerability. Goodness still exists. This Christmas please reach out and give.
