Our
church ethos

We believe that church should be a place where everyone feels seen, valued, and loved — where faith is lived out not only in worship, but in kindness, service, and community.

Rooted in the Church of Ireland tradition, our worship is reverent yet accessible, combining Scripture, prayer, and music in ways that speak to both heart and mind.
We cherish the rhythm of the church year, the beauty of our buildings, and the friendships that grow among those who gather here.

We strive to be a community that reflects Christ’s light in our words and actions — gentle in spirit, open in heart, and generous in love.
Our ethos can be summed up in three simple hopes:

  • To worship God with sincerity and joy.

  • To care for one another with compassion and respect.

  • To serve our wider community with humility and love.

“Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14

One evening, Jesus and His disciples set out across the lake. As they sailed, a fierce storm suddenly arose. The winds howled and the waves crashed over the boat, and the disciples were terrified. Meanwhile, Jesus was asleep in the stern.

In panic they woke Him, crying, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” Jesus stood up, spoke to the wind and the waves, and said, “Peace! Be still!” Immediately the storm grew calm, and a great quiet settled over the waters. This story invites us to trust that Jesus is near, even when we feel overwhelmed. We may not always see the answer right away, but His presence is our security and our peace. Whatever we are going through, we can be confident that we do not face it alone — the One who calms storms is right beside us.
